Working with the Acadia Rhodes committee was key to my personal growth and academic success. Even though I didn't win the Rhodes in the end, the application and interview process gave me the skills to confidently pursue other opportunities. The experience undoubtedly propelled me to apply directly to the University of Oxford. This not only led to my acceptance into the graduate program of my choice, but I also received the All Souls Hugh Springer Graduate Scholarship, which provided full funding to support my studies. What started with support from the Acadia Rhodes committee a few years ago continues to open doors for me today. I am now pursuing a fully-funded PhD in Biology at Oxford.
