As a student with a disability, you have a right to:

Register for services and support at Accessible Learning at any point of the semester
Equal access and opportunity to participate in the academic experience at Acadia University
Protection and security of your confidential information. Documentation in Accessible Learning Services is stored separately from other student records
Timely service provision with appropriate notice provided by you
Not disclose a disability outside of Accessible Learning Services if you do not wish to, other than your accommodations with university staff and faculty
Receive appropriate and individualized accommodations based on the recommendations in your documentation
Be treated with dignity and respect

As a student with a disability, you have a responsibility to:

Respect yourself, other students, proctors, and university staff and faculty
Conduct yourself in an appropriate manner in all forms of communication
Respect any administrative deadlines (e.g. deadlines to register for accommodated test/exam)
Provide documentation within the time frame that is requested
Notify Accessible Learning Services staff of changes in diagnosis that may result in changes in your accommodations
Notify professors in advance of deadlines with any intent to use an accommodation in class (e.g. record lectures, cue/formula sheet, etc.)
